The restaurant garnered 42 percent of the vote, besting Brasserie V (39 percent) and Dotty Dumpling's (19 percent) in the final round of voting, which took place May 16-30. It became the first two-time winner in the annual poll's four-year history.

EatDrinkMadison.com will present the Blue Moon with a framed certificate and make the announcement through social media channels.

The poll was conducted in May, during National Hamburger Month. The Blue Moon also was the top vote-getter in the first round (May 1-15), which featured 18 area restaurants and bars.

In conjunction with the contest, one voter was selected to win a $50 gift certificate to the winning restaurant and a $15 iTunes gift card. This year's winner has the Twitter handle @arielwelch.
