There was no way I was going to turn down an offer to try Sol Squeeze, a line of organic margarita mixes.
They come in a squeezable pouch ($9.99 for a two-pack) that serves about 2-4. Sol Squeeze is certified organic, non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free, and it has no artificial ingredients or preservatives.
The goal of Founder Amy Davis was to give people a way to enjoy a delicious cocktail without compromising on flavor or health. In addition, there was another benefit that I appreciated.
I thought Sol Squeeze was a convenient way to make a drink. Rather than cutting up and juicing some limes, I simply squeezed the contents of the pouch into a shaker with ice and added tequila. Moments later, I was enjoying a tasty margarita.
The original flavor was perfect–not too tart or sweet, and you could really taste the freshness. The mango version also was outstanding, and I plan on stocking up on this flavor, as it’s not easy to make a mango margarita normally.
If you want to add salt to the rim of your glass, Sol Squeeze also sells hand-harvested sea salt ($12.99) in margarita citrus salt and spicy margarita sea salt variations as well as an artisan salt rimmer ($25).
Sol Squeeze is not yet available in Wisconsin stores, but you can purchase it on its website.
