Restaurants are continuing the trend of scaling down their New Year’s Eve celebrations. Some events that once charged admission are now free to get in, and other events reduced the admission price, although the offerings seem to also have been reduced.
Here’s a curated list of parties and events happening on New Year’s Eve in and around Madison, WI:
- Aftershock: “Bill and Ted” costume contest, DJ and air guitar contest. Free entry.
- Concourse Hotel: Dinner, comedy and live music. Accommodation and dining packages range from $299-$759.
- Essen Haus and Come Back In: Special menu plus live music. Free entry.
- Garver Feed Mill: Immersive experience with intergalactic party attire and live music. Tickets are $20-$75.
- Great Dane (Downtown): DJ and champagne toast. Admission is $10.
- Ivory Room: A self-proclaimed extravaganza with dueling pianos and champagne toast. Tickets are $50.
- Liquid: Two stages, balloon drop and video countdown. Ticket packages are $20-$129.
- Lone Girl Brewing Co.: A bar crawl via bus to J Henry, Red & White and Rock N Wool, with final stop at Lone Girl. Tickets are $100.
- Lucille: Hors d’oeuvres, DJ and open bar. Tickets are $125.
- Red Rock Saloon: Various open bar packages, champagne toast and live music. Tickets are $40-$600.
- The Sylvee: Dance party with the top hits from 2024. Tickets are $10-$30.
- Tavernakaya: DJ and a champagne toast. Admission is $20.
- Tasting Room of Monona: “Midnight Masquerade”-themed party with live entertainment, a cigar and a champagne toast. Tickets are $154.
- The Village Green: Drag show and champagne toast. Admission is $10.
- Whiskey Jacks: Live music, pizza bar and open bar. Tickets are $50-$70.
Keep in mind that many restaurants are having New Year’s Eve dinner specials, and many bars will have some sort of drink special and/or live music to ring in 2025.
