I was happy to accept an invitation to try a healthy snack option that supports digestive health called Ziggy Bars.
The bars are made from rolled oats, oat flour, coconut oil, 100% dates, coconut sugar, chia seeds, vanilla essence and baking soda. They also are vegan, organic, non-GMO and gluten-free.
Ziggy Bars come in individual packs ($24.96 for 10). The texture is soft (not sturdy), so you need to eat it with the paper insert or it will fall apart. Each bar has 200-210 calories, 24-25 g. of carbs (3-4 g. of fiber), 11 g. of fat and 3-5 g. of protein.
- The cinnamon oat was tasty, and I see why it’s the best seller. The flavor reminded me of an oatmeal raisin cookie, especially since the cookies are made with dates.
- The dark chocolate was a delight. Think of it as a brownie that has been smashed down.
- I liked that the peanut butter was not overly dense, and it had a slight resemblance to a peanut butter snickerdoodle.
You can order Ziggy Bars on its website.
