I feel like I’ve reviewed a bunch of energy beverages lately, and now comes another, technically speaking. To celebrate National Coffee Day, I recently accepted an offer to try chilled coffee from Snapchill.
The company collaborates with coffee growers and roasters for its coffee, which is made with hot water (instead of cold water) to release the full flavor spectrum from the beans and then is instantly chilled to 38 degrees to lock in the flavor. The process does not involve any chemicals.
The coffee comes in 12 oz. cans and is sold as six-packs ($29.95) and 12-packs ($54.95). Each can has 5 calories, 0 g. of sugar, 0 g. of protein and less than 1 g. of carbs.
- The George Howell Monte-Carlos originates from El Salvador and is described as having chocolate, nougat and pecan flavors. I did indeed detect and enjoy some nuttiness and a hint of chocolate, but don’t misinterpret that as meaning the coffee is sweet.
- I loved the cocoa aroma of the Fazenda Mexico Mixteca, and the molasses flavor comes through. It’s a medium roast from Oaxaca, Mexico. I also liked this nitro coffee at room temperature.
- The Little Wolf Companion Blend had a pleasant touch of berry and chocolate to it. I think if you’re not a big coffee drinker, this is a good one for you.
Other brands/flavors include the Brandywine Coffee Galactic Standard and the Bolt Coffee Roasters Mass Appeal.
You can purchase Snapchill’s products from its website.
