Papa Corazon’s Quesadillas

Papa Corazon'sPerkins has added another ghost kitchen, and this one is called Papa Corazon’s Quesadillas.

Every quesadilla I had was enjoyable. I just wish more time was spent on putting together the quesadillas. The quesadillas looked disheveled, and the ingredients were unevenly distributed. In other words, they were sloppily put together.

The namesake Papa Corazón’s Steak Quesadillas ($12.99) is tasty if you like pesto. Everything else was fine: tender steak, melty cheese, soft tortilla.

You’ll also find a steak fajita quesadilla ($12.99) on the menu. It has elevated flavors from the tasty fire-roasted corn, but I felt the southwest ranch sauce was unnecessary.

My favorite was the All-American ($10.99). It was bursting with eggs and also comes with bacon, sausage, hashbrowns and cheese. Basically, you’re getting an excellent breakfast burrito disguised as a quesadilla.

Papa Corazon'sI also liked the Chicken, Bacon, Mac & Cheese Quesadillas ($12.99), which tasted like a ham and swiss melt. I did have to eat most of it with a fork, since it was a bit messy from the mac & cheese.

All quesadillas are served with tortilla chips, which were average. Instead, you should consider getting the Papa’s Loaded Tots ($4.99). Crispy tater tots are topped with a runny fried egg on top, in addition to the bacon bits and cheese. Yum!

Papa Corazon’s Quesadillas serves lunch and dinner. You can order via GrubHub, DoorDash and UberEats.
