Last year saw the return of most of the local Oktoberfest celebrations. This year, several have changed weekends, and Sept. 24 is going to be a busy day of drinking. Here’s a look at the Madison, WI-area Oktoberfest events this month:

Full Mile Oktoberfest | Sept. 17, Full Mile Beer Co. | Includes live music and the release of two beers. |
Essen Haus Oktoberfest | Sept. 24, Essen Haus | An indoor and outdoor party with live polka music, games and contests. |
Fall Beer Taste | Sept. 24, Downtown Sun Prairie | Enjoy 3-oz. samples of beer and cider from more than 20 participating businesses in downtown Sun Prairie. |
Hometown Brewdown | Sept. 24, Verona | Formerly held in July, the event includes tailgate games, live music and more than 50 breweries. Benefits Verona youth hockey. |
Capital Brewery Oktoberfest | Sept. 24, Capital Brewery | Replaces the former Dogtoberfest event. Has live music and activities, including a stein-holding competition. |
