We sure like to celebrate the holidays here in town. Following is a guide to some upcoming holiday parties, shows, races and events in Madison, WI. As expected, we are not quite to the volume of events we had in 2019.
Holiday Shows
- A Madison Symphony Christmas runs Dec. 3-5 at the Overture Center. Tickets are $20-$98.
- The Capitol Christmas Pageant takes place Dec. 5 at the State Capitol. Free to attend.
- “A Christmas Carol” runs Dec. 11-23 at the Overture Center. Tickets are $35-$70.
- “The Nutcracker” runs Dec. 17-26 at the Overture Center. Tickets are $11-$65.
Holiday Parties
- The Downtowners’ Hark! The Holiday Happy Hour is held Dec. 1 at the Tinsmith. Free to attend.
- The Magnet Winter Charity Fete is held Dec. 3 at Stateline Distillery. Tickets are $25-$100.
- The final Mad Men Holiday Soiree takes place Dec. 10 at the Majestic. Tickets are $25.
- An Ugly Sweater Party takes place Dec. 11 at Vintage Spirits. Free to attend.
- The Tinsmith is having its own Holiday Party on Dec. 17. Free to attend.
Holiday Races and Bar Crawls
- Run, Santa, Run 5K takes place Dec. 4 on the Capitol Square. Fee is $25-$50.
- The Christmas Bar Crawl starts at Red Rock Saloon on Dec. 4. Tickets cost $20.
Other Holiday Events
- The Holiday Fantasy in Lights runs Nov. 13-Jan. 3 at Olin Park. Admission is free.
- Zoo Lights is held Nov. 26-Dec. 30 (Fridays-Sundays) at Henry Vilas Zoo. Tickets cost $10.
- Winter Wonderland in the Village is held Dec. 4 in McFarland. Free to attend.
- Holiday Express runs Dec. 4-31 at Olbrich Gardens. Tickets are $3-$6.
- A Holiday Cheers and Beers indoor market takes place Dec. 12 at Wisconsin Brewing Co. Free to attend.
- Holiday Brew ‘N View with the movie “Elf” showing on Dec. 16 at the Majestic. Tickets are $5.
