Koita Oat Milk

Koita oat milkI was happy to accept an offer to review oat milk from Koita Milk, especially after learning the Wall Street Journal selected it among its “most versatile and delicious” plant-based milks.

Koita Milk was founded in 2013 in Dubai. Its plant-based milks are shelf-stable, vegan and non-GMO. In fact, the ingredients are ethically sourced from the Italian Alps.

The oat milk had a wonderful oatmeal flavor to it from the Italian oats, which somewhat reminded me of soy milk. The texture is neither overly thick nor watery, and I found it to be quite refreshing when chilled. Every 100 ml (3.38 oz.) serving contains 1.1 g. of fat, 9.3 g. of carbs, 0.8 g. of protein and 120 mg. of calcium (12%).

Beyond oat milk, Koita also makes soy milk, rice milk, organic coconut milk and organic almond milk, among other flavors.

You can buy Koita products on its website. A six-pack of 33.8 oz. cartons costs $33.99.
