Nutpods

I usually don’t add cream to my coffee, but that will change after I was won over by nutpods, which I accepted an offer to try.

The creamers are plant-based (primarily almond milk and coconut cream) and come in both sweetened and unsweetened varieties. The former uses a blend of stevia and erythritol (sugar alcohol), and as a result, has 0 g. of total sugars and five calories per serving. If you’re trying to cut back on your sugar intake, here’s one way to do it.

I enjoyed the flavors I tried. The caramel may have been my favorite, as it is true to its name without going overboard. Meanwhile, the French vanilla reminds me of vanilla custard, and the Sweet Creme can serve as a permanent replacement for half-and-half.

Other flavors include cinnamon swirl, toasted marshmallow and cotton candy. In addition, nutpods are Whole30 compliant, vegan, Kosher, non-GMO, gluten-free, Keto-friendly and dairy-free.

A three-pack of 11.2-oz. cartons retails for $14.95. You can find Nutpods at grocery stores in the Madison area as well as online.
