From 2018 to 2019, the percent of consumers in the United States following a keto diet increased from 3 percent to 6 percent, according to Statista. Accordingly, there are more and more keto-related products, and I accepted an offer to try them.
Keto Dippers
For anyone who has followed or is following a low-carb or keto diet, you know it’s not easy to satisfy a sweet tooth. Keto Dippers ($39.99 for 16 1.2 oz. bags), made by Shrewd Food, should solve that issue.
They’re sort of like Whoppers malted milk balls but way crispier on the inside. Both the milk chocolate and dark chocolate have the right amount of sweetness, with the latter not bitter. Both are very tasty and addicting–you might eat an entire bag without realizing it, but at least you won’t feel guilty about it.
Per serving, the milk chocolate version has 140 calories, 11 g. of fat, 14 g. of carbs and 7 g. of protein, while the dark chocolate version has 130 calories, 11 g. of fat, 13 g. of carbs and 8 g. of protein. They are peanut- and tree nut-free.

Protein Puffs
Shrew Food also makes Protein Puffs ($14.99 for eight bags) that make for satisfying and appetite-curbing snacks. As the name implies, Protein Puffs are crunchy spheres that sort of resemble a larger version of Kix cereal, and they’re available in seven flavors, of which I tried four:
- Speaking of cereal, the cookies & cream tasted like Cocoa Puffs.
- In the same vein, the strawberries & cream tasted like Cap’N Crunch Berries.
- The flavor brick oven pizza reminded me of the pepperoni pizza flavor of Combos.
- The baked cheddar puffs look like cheese balls, and actually, they slightly mimic the taste.
Nacho cheese, sour cream & onion and Sriracha cheddar are the other flavors.
Each bag has 90 calories, 2.5-3.5 g. of fat, 2-4 g. of carbs and 12-14 g. of protein. They are gluten-free, peanut-free, tree-nut free and soy-free.
The other products in Shrewd Food’s lineup are Protein Dippers, Protein Croutons and Protein Cookies.

Electrolyze, Micro-Boost and Insta-Lytes
The keto diet can lead to side effects, several collectively known as the “keto flu,” according to Healthline. That’s where Keto-BEAM products come in.
Electrolyze ($39.95, 1-month supply) is a flavorless, plant-based liquid that helps you maintain optimal electrolyte levels. I liked that it also helps curb your appetite while activating your metabolism.
Similarly, Micro-Boost ($39.95, 1-month supply) is a flavorless, plant-based liquid. It’s meant to help relieve aches and cramps. I took it primarily for its detoxification effects and support of a healthy immune system.
Another product used to fight cramps and body aches is Insta-Lytes ($6.95 for 2 oz.). In this case, you spray Insta-Lytes onto your target areas. You also can breathe it in to clear your sinuses (and I did). I appreciated that the liquid had no scent, unlike other topical pain-relief products.
