FreshFin Poke

20190802_115758I purposely waited a few months before reviewing another poke restaurant. I’m sort of sad I did because FreshFin Poke has some pretty good poke.

FreshFin is a Milwaukee import. Like other poke restaurants, FreshFin offers build-your-own bowls and signature bowls. The difference here is that the signature bowls are actually different from one another instead of being slight variations like some other restaurants do.

My first choice was the Curry Coconut Shrimp ($9.95). It has excellent curry that has a little bit of heat, plus plenty of plump, diced shrimp. Instead of rice, I went with the kohlrabi noodles ($1 extra), which added a nice crunch and absorbed the curry flavor well.

Other signature bowls include the Zen (vegetarian) and the Kailani (chicken and shrimp).

FreshFin also makes cold-pressed juices. I ordered the citrus kale ($4.95), and pineapple is the predominant flavor over the cucumber, spinach, kale and lime. I probably would order it again.

FreshFin Poke is open every day for lunch and dinner.
